Using the provider of your choice, create two virtual private servers (VPS) - one for your HomeServer and the other for the RelayServer. Use the Requirements section for the specifications on each server.
The Setup RelayServer section provides some insight on selecting your provider as well as some sample providers to consider. When you have completed the setup, ensure to have the login credentials and IP address for each server handy.
The following video provides a walkthough of this process using a specific provider.
Perform the installation as described in the Installation section. The walkthrough video in the Installation section actually uses both cloud-based VPS's, so use that as a guide. If you are using a made-up domain name, then ensure to follow the specific steps for this method (especially changing the Endpoint within the WireGuard configuration, as described in Step 6 of the Installation).
Once you have completed your testing ensure to shut down AND terminate your servers, so that you will not continue to be charged for their use.
If you wish to clear out and reset the servers back to a fresh state:
bash hshq.sh
), then go to 4 System Utils > 5 Uninstall and Remove Everything, and follow the prompts accordingly.bash nuke.sh
from the home directory of the user account that you used during the installation. Keep in mind that this reset function does not remove this Linux user, nor revert the SSH port to it's previous value. So if you want to reuse this server for the same purpose, just provide this CURRENT username and CURRENT SSH port for the installation prompts.
